The human body and the science of nutrition is so complex. A diet that works for your friend, family member or a colleague may not work for you. Jumping from one fad diet to another, or “yoyo dieting”, is not only frustrating and exhausting, but really not beneficial to your physical or mental health either.

There is no one size fits all approach to nutrition. Nutrition interventions and strategies need to be personalized and tailored to YOU and your unique body.

That is where our registered dietitian, Carly comes in. Dietitians have been trained for 5 years to provide individualized medical nutrition therapy. Medical nutrition therapy uses an evidence-based medical approach to treating chronic conditions through the use of an individually-tailored nutrition plan.

Conditions that may benefit from medical nutrition therapy include; digestive disorders (IBS, Chron’s, ulcerative colitis, reflux etc.), chronic diseases of the lifestyle and endocrine disorders (diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid disorders, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease etc.), weight and body composition management, pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases (arthritis, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis etc.), eating disorders, emotional eating, sports and performance nutrition as well nutritional deficiencies. Medical nutrition therapy also plays a role in supporting the treatment of mental health disorders as well as in supporting the immune system.
