Meet David…
Ex-professional soccer player and current goalkeeper coach for the South African U17 Women’s team.
Keen Sportsman
With a background in soccer, sports science and coaching, David has always had a passion for sports by using different training methods to improve infield performance. According to him, there is no better training method than BODYTEC EMS training.
Years of competing as a professional soccer player gave him the passion to turn his attention to coaching which provides him with less time to work out and keep fit.
When he was playing professional soccer, he had teammates training at BODYTEC who encouraged him to join them for a trial session. He had his first trial session, and the way he felt after the session instantly got him hooked. He signed up for a membership the next week because he was looking for ways to improve his sporting performance, ways to gain strength and become a better footballer. After a few sessions, he felt that BODYTEC EMS training improved his speed as well as smaller aspects he didn’t concentrate on, like his posture and core strength.
BODYTEC EMS training enabled him to cover all muscle groups in one session rather than focusing on just 1 or 2 muscle groups during his conventional gym sessions. His infield performance improved as he noticed his kicking and throwing strength. Since he has stopped playing professionally and ventured into coaching, he has been able to maintain his core strength, posture, and muscle memory. His busy schedule does not allow him to be as physically active as he used to be because constant travelling for matches, in different countries, and in-between training means less time left for exercise than when he played professionally. This is why he chose BODYTEC, where he can get a full-body workout in just 20 minutes a week.
Be an example
Although David isn’t playing competitively anymore, the demand to keep physically fit in order to perform skills and be flexible is vitally important for him as a coach. It is also important for him to be a role model to his team and be an example when it comes to maintaining strength and agility.
David trains at BODYTEC Brooklyn.
