BODYTEC Sea Point has reopened in an exciting new location, with new equipment and under new management.
With close to a decade worth of EMS training experience, opening a BODYTEC EMS training studio of her own was a natural progression for Nadia Weyers, the new owner of BODYTEC Sea Point. Born and raised in Pretoria, Centurion, Nadia has always been involved in sport and played many different sports from a young age such as Netball, Tennis, Softball, Athletics, Dance and Drama. She moved to Cape Town in 2012, just after finishing her studies in Personal Training and Sports Fitness Conditioning and completing her Diploma in Fitness.
Over her career, Nadia has coached netball and hockey, instructed group fitness classes and offered personal training at major national gym chains, and in 2013 finally found what she is most passionate about – EMS training.
Nadia has completed many EMS training courses from Basic to Advanced and even became one of South Africa’s few EMS Master Trainers in 2016 with the international GluckerKolleg. After working at BODYTEC Gardens from 2015 – 2018 as Personal Trainer and Studio Manager, Nadia decided to move to Bangkok, Thailand in 2019 for a change in scenery, where she continued to work as EMS Personal Trainer and Studio Manager at FitIn25 Bangkok. Missing home, Nadia moved back to SA just before lockdown, which turned out to be fortuitous timing as the opportunity arose for her to take over the Sea Point studio.
When asked why she decided to become a BODYTEC franchise partner and studio owner, Nadia says: “Because it is my profession, career and my passion. I believe in EMS Training and all its benefits, and having worked at BODYTEC for a few years, I love being part of this great group of people. My passion is to work with people and it is a great pleasure for me to get to know so many different kinds of people and make their training experience as serious and fun at the same time as possible.”
When Nadia isn’t working, she spends her time with family, doing her weekly EMS session or in the gym lifting weights. She says, “I enjoy it (gym) because then it is “me” time when I work on my own body as I focus on my clients the whole day every day”.
