From Ironman to the Impi Challenge, fitness followers are taking their challenges off the road and into the great outdoors – and the tougher and messier, the better. Now imagine you can have the same experience, without having clocked up hours of training or six weeks of living on egg whites and tuna!
Enter Muddy Princess, a brand-new 5km obstacle mud run for women. Never managed to crack a 5k? Don’t worry this event is for women with all kinds of fitness levels as long as you can crawl, walk, run, climb, laugh and play – it’s a great opportunity for a ” dirty day out” with your best friends. There is no competition and no timing – it’s all about a lots of fun and laughter.
You can enter as a team, or as a single person, and even if you sign up alone you’ll be carried along by a fun crowd of fellow women tackling obstacles and can cross the finish line at your own pace.
BODYTEC is getting in on the fun! Every woman who signs up for the Cape Town or Jo’burg event will receive a trial voucher at a studio near her worth R195. There’s lots of other great swag to be found in the goodie bags. The first ‘race’ kicks off at Slaley Winery in Stellenbosch on 1 May, with the second coming to Jozi on 29 May at Riversands Farm Village, Midrand.
